Purchase, Don’t Just Rent.

Invest in independence. Minimize long‑term cost. Maximise uptime.

Dear Client,

In offshore operations, every day counts. Laying and retrieving hoses in challenging sea conditions demands precision, power, and reliability.

The wrong winch can slow your project, damage expensive equipment, and compromise safety.

That’s why we built the BEKA Winch — engineered to perform flawlessly where other winches fail.

Designed for Offshore Power & Precision

Manufactured by Bernhard Weyres GmbH, the BEKA Winch is built from the ground up for marine and offshore use. Compact yet powerful, it’s designed in the size of a standard 20-foot high cube container for easy transport (ISO 1496-1) and rapid mobilization.

Built for Efficiency

The BEKA Winch isn’t just strong — it’s smart.
It’s designed to lay hoses under pressure, preventing twisting or collapse, and to keep debris from entering air outlets. With the ability to deploy hoses (rings) simultaneously, it delivers significant time savings during setup.

Ballast chains make spooling and unspooling effortless, while the dedicated mounting frame ensures quick mobilization and demobilization on any vessel.

Proven in Offshore Noise Mitigation — Ready for Any Job

The BEKA Winch has been proven in the demanding world of offshore noise mitigation, where it powers bubble curtain systems to protect marine life during wind farm construction. But its rugged design makes it just as effective for any offshore hose handling application — from dredging to marine construction to subsea installations. The BEKA Winch has been tested in accordance with ISO 1496-1 standards, ensuring full compliance with international container dimension, strength, and durability requirements for safe global transport and offshore operation

Scope of Supply

  • Winch: Each with steel-reinforced hose, approx. 1,040 m

  • Manifold System: For air distribution

  • Hydraulic Power Pack: For drive and control

  • Spare Parts Container: For maintenance and quick replacement

Why purchase the BEKA-Winch?

  • Asset ownership: BEKA‑Winch becomes your asset. You control usage, maintenance, and scheduling.

  • Support & service options: Weyres remains your partner. We provide optional mobilization, demobilization, spare parts, hose replacement, storage, & technical support.

  • Reduced lifecycle costs: instead of paying high daily rates for multiple mobilisations, renting, and demobilisations, ownership lets costs amortise across many projects.

How our Purchase Model Works

  • One‑time purchase price: The BEKA‑Winch is yours for a fixed price per unit.

  • Support & maintenance: We can store your units at Weyres facilities and provide servicing to ensure readiness.

  • Mobilisation, operation & demobilisation:  These project‑based services remain available and are charged per project (transport, personnel, compressors etc.). You decide when and where to deploy.

Why Choose the BEKA Winch?

  • Offshore-proven performance and durability

  • Easy transport and rapid deployment in containerized format

  • Handles extreme hose lengths and heavy-duty applications

  • Designed, tested, and manufactured by a trusted offshore engineering leader.

  • Better ROI across repeated use.

  • After just one or two projects, your capital expenditure is amortised.

  • Each deployment lowers your average cost per project significantly.

If you expect multiple long projects, buying the BEKA Winch quickly pays for itself.

FAQ

1. What is the BEKA Winch designed for?

The BEKA Winch is purpose-built for offshore and marine applications where hoses need to be laid, retrieved, and stored under challenging sea conditions. It is proven in noise mitigation projects like bubble curtain installations but is adaptable for dredging, subsea construction, and other hose-handling operations.

4. How is the winch powered?

The BEKA Winch is equipped with a hydraulic power pack.

7. Can you deploy multiple hoses at the same time?

Yes. It’s designed for simultaneous deployment hoses (rings) , saving time and increasing operational efficiency.

10. How quickly can the winch be mobilized or demobilized?

Thanks to its dedicated mounting frame and containerized design, the BEKA Winch can be rapidly installed or removed from a vessel, minimizing downtime between projects.

13. What’s included in the purchase price?

Each purchase includes one fully assembled and tested BEKA-Winch unit, equipped with an integrated steel-reinforced hose spool system tailored to the customer’s specifications. The package also includes a comprehensive documentation set, including user manuals and a detailed operation and maintenance plan. Basic operator training is provided either remotely or on-site

16. What is the expected lifespan of the BEKA-Winch?

The BEKA-Winch is engineered for heavy-duty, multi-year offshore use. With proper maintenance, its core mechanical components can last 5+ years, depending on intensity of use. Hoses are designed for approximately 80 positions and can be replaced independently.

19. Can I operate the BEKA-Winch with my own team?

Absolutely. The system is designed for client-side operation, following basic training. We provide full documentation and offer training for your in-house team. If needed, we also supply experienced operators on a per-project basis.

2. How large is the BEKA Winch?

It’s designed to fit perfectly like a standard 20-foot high cube container — making it easy to transport, store, and mobilize worldwide.

5. Does it provide continuous air supply during operation?

Yes. The steel drums are fitted with side rotary joints that enable uninterrupted compressed air flow to the hoses while spooling in or out.

8. How does it prevent hose twisting or collapse?

Hoses are laid under pressure, which keeps them stable, prevents deformation, and stops debris from clogging the air outlets.

11. What is the price of a BEKA Winch?

Pricing is available upon request, as it depends on configuration, optional features, and project requirements. Contact our sales team for a tailored quotation.

14. What are the standard payment terms?

We offer a straightforward and transparent payment structure: 50% is due upon order confirmation, and the remaining 50% upon delivery of the BEKA-Winch. Should your internal procurement process require a different setup, we’re happy to discuss flexible arrangements.

17. Can Weyres store and maintain my BEKA-Winch after purchase?

Yes. We offer secure storage and professional maintenance at our facility. This helps reduce your logistical burden and ensures your unit remains ready for immediate deployment — regularly serviced and protected from corrosion or environmental wear.

20. Is the BEKA-Winch certified or compliant with offshore standards?

Yes, the system is designed and tested to meet offshore safety and equipment standards. Specific certifications (e.g. CE, DNV, ISO) can be provided or arranged depending on project needs.

3. What is the maximum hose length it can handle?

Each winch can manage hoses up to 1,040 meters in length, making it ideal for large-scale offshore deployments.
